–Just like Drake was best known as Jimmy Brooks once upon a time, a similar claim can be made about Cassie Steele a.k.a. the Manny Santos, of Degrassi fame. With a voice like Steele’s though, it probably won’t be that hard for her to shed the teen drama rep and be taken a seriously as a legitimate artist much like Arianna Grande and Miley Cyrus. Marcy Playground’s 1997 smash hit “Sex & Candy” gets a darker, sinisterly warped cover with Steele channeling her inner rockstar and delivering two and a half minutes of guilty pleasure.
