–English synthpop producer and singer Elly Jackson is best known for her 2009 hit, “In For The Kill“, subsequent debut album, and her stellar appearance on The Throne’s “That’s My B*tch“. Along with co-producer Ben Langmaid Ian Sherwin, the duo form La Roux, who are back today with the first single from their next album Trouble In Paradise. “Let Me Down Gently” channels the past sound of La Roux, with prominent, 80′s-era keys, and a funky guitar line playing as Jackson’s voice lightly croons. Initially, the song is slow-forming, but eventually the flowiness of the track picks up and listeners can’t help but be pleasantly reminded of 2009. Trouble In Paradise is out on July 7.
