Just hours upon his graduation, former Tulane safety , Devon Walker, signed with the New Orleans Saints last Saturday.
“To me, this is almost like one of my dreams come true. I’ve been a Saint since before I was walking. Just to be a part of this team, just to be around the players is more than I could have hoped.”
Born in Destrehan, Louisiana, Walker has been in Louisiana throughout his whole life. Unfortunately, after attending Tulane in New Orleans, a football collision in 2012 led him to become paralyzed from the neck down.
Though he won’t ever get to play again, the Saints still honored this young man to show their altruism and respect for his love of football. Hats off to the Saints for making this decision!
