This past weekend President Obama traveled to Afghanistan to visit American troops. Today he publicly announced that 9,800 troops will be left in Afghanistan at the end of 2014. Though the number of troops in Afghanistan has been reduced since his initial term in office, many feel that all of our American soldiers should be able to return home in 2014 (post 12 years of the war). On the other hand, a few people have agreed with the President’s decision stating that handing over security matters to Afghanistan too early would be detrimental for both countries.
