A few days ago, couple Jerad and Amanda Miller, killed two police officers at a local pizza restaurant in Las Vegas. According to CNN, the two officers, Igor Soldo & Alyn Beck, died by fatal gun shot wounds when being ambushed by Jerad and Amanda. Immediately following their ambush, Jerad and Amander Miller went to a local Walmart still armed and probably ready to hurt more innocent victims. Mother Jones reports that Jerad fired a shot into the air after entering the local Walmart. Suddenly after, Joseph Wilcox (31) who was also present in Walmart, confronted Jerad Miller by holding his gun up to the extremist. Reports indicate that Joseph Wilcox legally had a concealed gun and was protecting the innocent lives present at Walmart. Unfortunately, however, Joseph did not know see Jerad’s wife who was involved and armed as well. Likewise when Wilcox confronted Amanda’s husband, Amanda came from behind Joseph and shot him in the ribs. Joseph died immediately, but died a hero. Not only did he stand up to a murderer, he bough local police enough time to come in and confront the couple who ultimately died by suicide. Joseph Wilcox did not die in vain, his courageous efforts will always be remembered in Las Vegas and among the news. You see, in a time where people are randomly killing innocent people in public it takes a lot of grit to do something such as Joseph Wilcox’s actions. It’s unfortunate he had to lose his life to two cowards, but we’re sure the big Man upstairs had bigger plans for him.
