Today we’re excited to launch one of our newest projects called R.Y.T.V. (Register Youth To Vote). This category will definitely be one of our favorite projects because we will be able to document and provide real experiences of like minded youth who attempt to register young people to vote in and around their communities. You see, after working for many campaigns (local and national) it isn’t hard to see the different ways political races could have been altered solely because of an increase of youth voters coming out to vote. In fact, after working with these campaigns, the bold truth is: about 99% (just my estimate) of these campaign offices DON’T know how/where to begin registering our youth to vote. The mundane/orthodox ways of getting our youth’s attention to vote is becoming very tiresome and honestly pretty weak from campaign offices that have unlimited amount of resources, yet lack the basic knowledge of knowing what our youth actually engage towards. But that’s fine because luckily at Product of Society, we have a team that not only knows what our youth like to engage towards, but can also prove that we can register youth more than any other political office or firm in this nation.
In a time where electing the right local and state official is imperative, most current youth lack the basic knowledge of how their local judicial system can have a direct correlation with the outcome of their life. Schoolboard elections, District Attorney elections, Judgeship elections, City Council elections and etc. are some of the most important local elections just to name a few. But do our youth know that? We highly doubt it. However, we’re here to change these oblivious notions. As young Volunteer Deputies we not only have the power to register our youth, we have the power to influence change; to shift a balance of power. In a time where most college students are leaving educational institutions (college) with more debt than when they first entered, it’s important that our youth start to understand why it’s important to elect certain officials into the positions of power. In a time where marijuana is a schedule Class 1 Drug versus Cocaine which is a schedule Class II drug, it’s important for our youth to understand why it’s important certain laws are written as such. In a time where inflation and job losses are occurring at rates our fore founders of this country could not even envision, it’s imperative for our youth to understand the power of politics and why it’s necessary to vote. No longer will we at Product of Society stand for a lackluster attitude that our youth so easily portray via social media and everyday activities. We know that our task at hand is not going to be the easiest, however, we are confident because the only thing we know how to do is succeed. As co-founder of this site, which has accumulated a lot of traction from it’s initial existence of just 5 months ago, clearly we understand that a mere thought of an idea can be the start of a promising and well fulfilled entity. Likewise, we’re here to provide you with a simple mantra;” if you don’t vote you cannot complain”. We look forward to starting this project and we hope our viewers enjoy and learn the importance of voting as well.
