Green Bay Packers Starting receiver Jordy Nelson agreed to sign a contract extension that will run through 2018. Ian Rappaport of NFL.com reported that the agreement comes with $11.5 million signing bonus, with an average yearly salary of $9.76 million. The former second round pick from Kansas State was the no. 1 target for Quarterback Aaron Rodgers last year, hauling in 85 receptions for over 1,314 receiving yards, and 8 touchdowns. Although this pay increase does not put Nelson in the top tier of the highest paid wide receivers in the NFL, there is no question that Jordy Nelson is a pivotal piece to the Green Packers Offense & this extension ensure that Aaron Rodgers will have one of his top targets around for a long time.
