As a devoted humanitarian Leonardo created the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation back in 1998. In recent news, the Hollywood star just raised $25 Million at a charity gala in St. Tropez. The charity featured artwork such as a Picasso painting that was sold for $1 Million by Patrice Motsepe. Also noteworthy was the $6 million Hirst sculpture buy by billionaire Len Blavatnik. DiCaprio has been on a roll, just a few months ago, he $38 Million for his foundation at another charity event in New York.

We find it pretty cool when Hollywood stars do more than just the “assumed” acting and casting on the big-screen. Leonardo’s efforts just go to show you no matter what field your career may be in, the effort to save the world is still important.
