Looks like the merging of giant companies continues to happen in America. In recent news, Dollar Tree has planned to acquire Family Dollar to crush any similar rivals in the future. According to Reuters, this transaction will take place for the costly price of $8.5 Billion. Honestly, we didn’t even think “dollar-store” companies were worth billions of dollars. In fact, news sources report that Family Dollar accumulates about $18 Billion in annual sales! When this new acquisition of Family Dollar takes place, Dollar Tree will now add up to 13,000 more stores around North America (U.S. & Canada). Check out this link for more info about this topic.
