In Toledo, Ohio a state of emergency has been issued due to toxins reportedly found at the Toledo’s Collins Park Water Treatment Plant. According to reports, the toxic chemical present in the water was microcystin. Microcystin is said to be a result of a rapid blue-algae bloom. Human living conditions such as fertilizer “run-offs” make blue-algae a favorable candidate to increase growth during the hot summer. No other reports have yet been made, science labs are currently testing the water for more accurate results. We’ll keep you updated on this breaking story.
