ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Andy Dalton agreed in principal to a 6-year deal worth $115 Million today. Dalton was entering the final year of his rookie contract and has averaged 10 wins a season since he’s been in the league. Despite his regular season success, Dalton has performed poorly in the playoffs going 1 & done each year he has been in the league. Critics have often called Dalton’s success the product of having great talent around him instead of him being a high level quarterback. After last season’s playoff loss to the San Diego Chargers fans & media alike started to question whether the Bengals were willing to commit to Andy Dalton long term; well today the Bengals organization dispelled those rumors.
