Phantogram’s early 2014 track “Fall In Love” was a glitchy love ballad, seeped in electronic-heavy production, and driven by Sarah Barthel’s beautiful vocals. But with rising NYC rap clique Ratking‘s take on it, the song is flipped into a bass dripping instrumental that stutters with every distorted breath Barthel’s rearranged voice takes. The resulting effect makes for a gritty one, allowing Wiki and Hak to spit their elastic verses over a dynamic, digital canvas.
