A private equity and venture capital firm named Morningside Foundation has just provided Harvard with their largest donation ever recorded!

Today, CNN Money reported that Morningside Foundation donated a whopping $350 Million gift to Harvard’s School of Public Health. The firm is said to be run by Gerald and Ronnie Chan, sons of T.H. Chan.

Thanks to this hefty donation, Harvard has agreed to rename Harvard’s School of Public Health to T.H. Chan’s School of Public Health.

–“He would be very pleased with this gift today and all the good works that this gift will enable,” said Gerald Chan, who earned a masters degree from the School of Public Health in the 1970s.”– Via CNN Money

What should be equally noted from this article is the amount of money power  some people can provide at an expense that probably cost Morningside Foundation little to nothing. Money is power!
