In Mabelton, Georgia, Jessica Arrendale (33) died a hero after saving her six-month old daughter from the baby’s abusive father Antoine Davis. According to KTVU News, Jessica was killed via a bullet to her head after Davis became drunk after a night out last Saturday. Prior to Jessica’s death, incident reports show that Davis chased Jessica around their townhome late Saturday evening. This incident all started when Jessica wanted to protect herself from Davis by grabbing hold of a bat to defend herself and her baby girl Cobie. Unfortunately, details show that Davis was able to grab the bat from Jessica in which he hit her many times with the weapon and apparently also hit his six month old daughter in the process. Post being beaten with a bat, Jessica Arrendale locked herself in a bathroom to protect herself and the baby from the abuser. Frustrated by the lock door, reports show that Davis, a former Marine, went and grabbed his Rifle with a suppressor and shot Jessica Arrendale in the head after busting down the bathroom door. Jessica was killed instantly, yet was able to position her body to where she fell over the baby girl who miraculously fell in the toilet bowl. Reports believe after Davis assumed that both Jessica and the baby were dead, he moved into another room where he committed suicide.
“He shot her and they (police) don’t know how she was able to twist her body and fall literally in the opposite direction,” Ionniello said. Instead of falling onto the floor, Ionniello said her daughter fell over the toilet, dropping little Cobie into the water-filled bowl.

KTVU News reported that the baby remained in the toilet for 13 hours underneath her mother’s body. After finding baby Cobie, police officers rushed her to the Children’s Health Care of Atlanta Hospital where she is currently still being treated. Family and friends have set up a fund page to facilitate the funeral expenses of Jessica Arrendale.
Reports and the victims mother indicate that this wasn’t the first case of Domestic Violence between Antoine Davis and Jessica Arrendale.
