Back like he never left, Kendrick Lamar has just dropped his new track entilted ‘i’. Sampling the Isley Brothers’ Whose That Lady, K.Dot’s message was pretty straight forward; one must love themselves before they can begin to love others. While the message is great, I unfortunately am a little disappointed. The song isn’t bad, it just wasn’t what I expected or am used to hearing from the Compton native. Maybe the song will grow on me, but for now, it’s nothing more than a “great message”, and sometimes that’s okay. Check out the track below!
