Courtesy of BBC.com, the US and Arab allied nations have launched the first set of air strikes against Islamic State (IS) militants in Syria. It is believed that Fighter and Bomber Jets were used in the attack by dropping Tomahawk missiles. The air strikes were expected as part of President Barack Obama’s pledge to stop the tyranny of the militia group that has taken the lives of American Citizens & has completely taken over parts of Syria and Iraq.
The US has already undertaken 190 air strikes in Iraq since August, but Monday the Pentagon confirmed joint air strike efforts from both the US military and partner nation forces. With the deaths of innocent American people & the evacuation of over, now believed, 130,000 Syrians; let’s hope this collaborative effort from the US & other countries can help stop this terrorist group from destroying more innocent people’s lives.
