Currently, iLoveMakonnen‘s “Tuesday” has 10.5 million plays on YouTube, so to say it’s just a hit would be a bit of an understatement. And while Drake hopping on the original version has a bit to do with the track’s global success, “Tuesday” is inherently an amazing song in its own right.
With all that said, it was only a matter of time before fans got a video, and now we have one that couldn’t be more representative of the phenomenon that “Tuesday” has become. Of course, it’s equipped with a Drake appearance (and resounding co-sign), cameos from the rest of the OVO crew, plenty of pretty girls, Makonnen, and his now trademark mannequin heads. But the real heart of the video rests in the shots of regular people, from everywhere, doing things as arbitrary as working in the office, or playing around with their kids, as they mouth the words of “Got the club going up!”
