A Lear jet carrying the famous Evangelical pastor Dr. Myles Munroe crashed at approximately 5pm on Sunday near the Grand Bahama International Airport. According to reports, Munroe and 8 others (including Munroe’s wife) died after their jet ran into a crane near a shipyard near the Grand Bahama International Airport.
Dr. Myles Munroe was heading to speak at the Global Leadership Forum; a forum he put together as president of Bahamas Faith Ministries. According to ABC News, the Department of Civil Aviaition will be conducting a thorough investigation for the next few days to fully determine the cause of this horrible accident.
“The Department of Civil Aviation has been advised that there were some fatalities and we are awaiting confirmation from the Royal Bahamas Police Force as to whether there were any survivors,” The Department of Civil Aviation said in a statement. “The Grand Bahama Airport Company Crash Fire Rescue Department responded to the incident, and the Police and Bahamas Air Sea Rescue (BASRA) are presently on the scene.”
