We better watch the throne because Jay Z’s Roc Nation and Kanye West’s DONDA, respectfully named after his late mother, are joining together for a new partnership. Roc will be managing all of DONDA’s music endeavors, which will focus on Kanye’s recording label along with his worldwide tours. DONDA was launched in 2009 when he collaborated with Louis Vuitton for a footwear collection. In 2011 it was also responsible for the innovative packaging and tour design on his Watch the Throne collaboration with Jay Z. DONDA also designed a couple versions of the Nike Air Yeezy kicks and will play a role in Kanye’s upcoming Adidas line which will make its debut in the fall. In 2012, the creative label was also behind the insane visuals of Cruel Summer which featured a seven-screen experience in Cannes. It was also responsible for the innovative idea of projecting and debuting Kanye’s Yeezus single New Slaves on numerous buildings across the world.
