When will the madness end? It hasn’t even been two weeks since America has recovered from the Santa Barbara mass killings. Now in yesterday’s news, a gunmen, Aaron Ybarra (26),  at Seattle Pacific University shot a total of four people, ultimately ending the life of one person. The gunmen was said to have entered a campus building with a loaded shotgun where he began to fire and reload. Before matters could get any worst, this gunmen was said to have been stopped by a student monitor who pepper sprayed the victim and detained him for police.

–“They were able to pin the shooter to the ground until police arrived,” Fowler said during a news conference. The gunman was taken into custody a short time after.

The victims were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds that ranged “from minor to life threatening,” the Seattle Fire Department said.

Aaron R. Ybarra, 26, was booked into the King County Jail late Thursday for investigation of murder, police said. Assistant Police Chief Paul McDonagh said at a news conference that the suspect was not a student at the school.

One of the victims, a 20-year-old man, was pronounced dead at Harborview Medical Center, according to police. Another victim, a woman, has life-threatening injuries. The other two victims, a man and a woman, are both in stable condition.

“This is a tragic moment for Seattle and a tragic moment for America once again,” Seattle Mayor Ed Murray (D) said in a news conference.”–

Stories like these are getting more prominent and sickening as time progresses. We hope that local and US officials can find positive ways to stop these random acts of killings from happening; especially at institutions such as schools/universities where students go to learn and become better upstanding citizens in this country. Until things get better, we can only pray for the families and victims who had to endure this terrible calamity.
