Houston, Texas native Taju Shoaga is one of the newest, yet popular “spoken word” artists in the South. A college graduate in Mass Communication, Taju has found his niche by manifesting his prolific writing into spoken word poetry. In fact, Taju has also composed a full movie script that describes a narrative of the troubles black males face today without an adequate positive role model. To counteract these daily negative notions that inundate the youth’s mind, Taju Shoaga is becoming the positive entity young males should familiarize themselves with.
The video below, entitled ‘Where’s Music For Me’, inevitably makes viewers question the current state of hip-hop and the current ” Get Rich Quick Scheme” mantra. We definitely agree with the message this video evokes for today’s youth.
