Last Wednesday, the parents of Ohio State football player Kosta Karageorge filed a missing report when their son unexpectedly did not return back to his apartment.
According to CBS News, Karageorge was last seen around 2AM in which he told his teammates that he was going on a walk. A team spokesperson reported that Kosta missed Wednesday and Thursday practice, which was very uncharacteristic of him. A few days after looking for him, local officials received a phone call from a woman who reportedly saw a body in a dumpster. CBS News reports that the identified body was that of Kosta Karageorge and that he seemed to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Karageorge’s mother believes her son’s actions were related to the many concussions and “spell of confusions” he recently had been undergoing. Unfortunately, hindsight is 20/20, and now it is a little to late to properly diagnose what Kosta Karageorge might have been going through.
We hope the Karageorge family does find the answers to Kosta’s death. Keep them and the Ohio State Buckeyes in your prayers.
