I want to say the first time I came across BJ The Chicago Kid was after listening to Freddie Gibb’s Walk of Shame track a few years ago. The talented R&B singer, and Motown signee, is a native of the Southside of Chicago, historically one of the most soulful and inspiring cities for young artists. And likewise when you listen to BJ sing, it’s easy for one to get that “windy-city” vibe. This year many listeners became familiarized with BJ The Chicago Kid after listening to ScHoolboy Q’s ‘Studio’ track which flooded the national airways all year. Though he’s known for killing features on various hooks, the young artist is equally talented, if not better, when he drops his own projects. Check out his latest project, entitled ‘The M.A.F.E. Project’, we’re sure you enjoy this whole mixtape. Listen below and let us know what you think!
