What was initially believed to be just a knee sprain has turned out to be much worse for the highly touted rookie forward from Chicago. Milwaukee Bucks Forward Jabari Parker tore his ACL on Monday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns.
Parker will miss the rest of what was a promising rookie season for the young player. Although he was not putting up huge numbers like other highly touted players before him (Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving), Parker was still separating himself from the other rookies in his class, leading all rookies in scoring with 12 a game. This is also bad from a team standpoint, seeing that the Milwaukee Bucks were playing well based off of last year’s 15-67 season and are currently in the #6 spot in the Eastern Conference. Although this is without question a big setback for this young Bucks team, there’s a silver lining that they have other promising young players that can fill the void of their promising rookie. Get well soon Jabari!
