President Obama Makes Historic Move To Normalize U.S-Cuba Relations

For over half a century, the United States and Cuba have been isolated from normal diplomatic relations. Two days ago, President Obama announced, via usage of his Executive Orders, that Cuba and the U.S. would begin a new era of trade and travel. This announcement was said to be a culmination of about 18 months of secret negotiations. Out of the negotiations made, Cuba agreed to release USAID contractor Alan Gross. Though there has been some criticism over this historic move, many Americans felt this diplomatic move was much needed ever since ex-communist Fidel Castro relinquished his power to his young brother Raul Castro.
