In a difficult time of racial tension and turmoil, a horrible incident has just unfolded in Bedford-Stuyvesant, a city north-central of New York city.
According to NY Daily News, the shooter has been identified as a Baltimore native by the name of Ismaaiyl Brinsley (28). Brinsley was said to have left Baltimore for New York after fatally shooting his girlfriend. Prior to heading to Bedford-Stuyvesant, Ismaaiyl allegedly posted these photos below.
According to multiple reports, Ismaaiyl Brinsley ambushed two cops on lunch break outside of the Tompkins Houses complex. While the two cops were seated in a squad car, Ismaaiyl Brinsley was said to have fired off a round of shots killing both cops “execution style”. After shooting both cops, Brinsley ran to the nearest subway station entrance and inflicted gun wounds to himself, ultimately committing suicide.
We ask that you pray for the family members of the two cops who died and Brinsley’s slain girlfriend. These are difficult times for Americans to undergo, however, we (society) need to remain positive and recognize that one outlier doesn’t represent a whole race. No one deserves to die, especially the public servants that protect our communities.
