Vic Mensa and Kaytranada had already proven to be a most formidable duo with their summer anthem “Wimme Nah“, which has amassed nearly 2.5 million plays in about five months. But the two seem to have caught lightning in a bottle yet again with their newest collaboration, “Drive Me Crazy”.
Taking a more dialed-down approach when compared to their previous track, Kaytranada delivers a slower yet still physically imposing beat rife with funky synths and deep bass for Mensa to maneuver around; It’s all very smooth. The track is the second single from Kaytranada’s debut album, due out on XXL (hopefully sooner than) later this year.
