We are only a few hours away from tipping off of the 2015 NCAA Basketball Championship weekend. Four blue blood basketball programs and their Hall of Fame coaches have descended upon Indianapolis this weekend to crown this years National Champion.
Product of Society is here covering all four teams, the various sponsorship events and concerts as well as the fan excitement and experience being spread throughout Indiana’s capital. We were on hand for the open practice session held yesterday and as you can see below, it could have been mistaken for the actual games, which don’t begin until later this evening (Duke Vs. Michigan State 6:09 EST scheduled start time).
The Michigan State, Wisconsin and Kentucky campuses are all within a day’s drive from Indianapolis and Duke has long since been known for the passionate fan base that seems to follow the Blue Devils wherever they go.
We would be remiss if we did not give credit where it is due, the University of Kentucky has impressed us in more ways than one. Not only is their team on the brink of a historic undefeated season but we haven’t seen a Wildcat fan lose a drinking game since arriving in Indianapolis Thursday, pretty impressive stuff!
In addition to the official NCAA sanctioned games, practices and events aimed to enhance the fan experience, there are various brand activation and sponsorship parties thrown to get all the industries brightest coaches, players and shoe/apparel executives under one roof.
Product of Society was invited to attend a host of branded Final Four events. Our nights have been highlighted by our visits to Adidas, Asics/Double Pump and Under Armour brand activation and networking events.
We will continue to bring you exciting updates from this weekends electric atmosphere including both of tonight’s national semifinal games and exclusive access to tonight’s pro bono Rihanna concert.
Stay tuned and let’s all enjoy one of the best weekends of basketball this great nation has to offer!
