Being one of the most original and influential artists of her generation, Sade has given the world of music far more than we can ever thank her for. The Canadian born vocalist and 4-time Grammy Award winner ruled the 80s and early 90s with her beautiful lyricism and commitment to artistic purity.
Sade (pronounced: “Shah-day”) + her music + her mysterious, recluse-like persona have continued to transcend both cultural and generational divides alike. It is truly remarkable for an artist’s music to impact multiple generations under the same roof, something Sade has done effortlessly in my family as well as many families around the World.
Today Product of Society wishes to pay homage to her beautiful sound and reminisce on one of Canada’s original super stars (Sorry Drake, Biebs and The Weeknd).
Enjoy a few of our favorites from her extensive collection below and let us know of your favorite Sade track and/or memory!
