“Whats your addiction? Is it money? Is it girls? Is it Weed?” The famous 4 questions once posed by Kanye were some of my initial thoughts after hearing East Atlanta artist Shaun B disclose the meaning of his movement #WTHL (Welcome To The HighLife). You see, #WTHL is more than a feeling of euphoria, but rather the mind state one may have after committing to an addiction; an addiction to become successful. Whether it’s education, sports, money or etc, everyone has an addiction that he/she relapses from, however, when presented the right opportunity one’s ability to capitalize on their aspirations addictions is solely up to that respective individual. Earlier this year Shaun B encompassed his lifestyle & music steelo via a dope project entitled Cocaine In The Morning.
Due to it’s enticing and overall raw appeal, Cocaine In the Morning was even featured on major networks such as MTV and Oxygen. Today, the gifted artist is back with a summer singled entitled “Designer” which will be a single off his upcoming album Cocaine In The Evening (set to drop sometime this Fall). Though unorthodox to the usual R&B vibe Shaun B usually provides, “Designer” gives listeners a more versatile approach of the artists range of skills (lyrically and vocally).
