After listening to the album, it’s clear J. Cole definitely gave us something special. Reminiscent of Warm Up vibes, his recently new album KOD is a12 track project and easily one his best yet. From the beginning through the end, the concept of dealing with societal problems with drugs, depression, and a crooked judicial system is painted vividly among intricate lyrics. As stated in Cole’s lyrics, what he raps about may not be popular, but it’s so necessary for what hip-hop and this country needs. And that’s raw lyricism and honesty!
