10 miles Northeast of downtown Los Angeles lies one of the most historical cities on the West Coast; Pasadena, California. Deemed as the “City of Roses”, Pasadena is known for its aesthetically pleasing environment and annual Rose Parade that takes place annually New Years day and began in 1890. Needless to say, it was only right Willie Hundred$ gave an ode to his city for his first solo project.
Inspired by pioneering lyricists such as TuPac, K.Dot, Suga Free and Dj Quik, Willie Hundred$ evokes that classic nostalgic West Coast feeling on Rose City. KNOXonthebeat and William Jay are to thank for the ill beats laid on this project. Both producers uniquely carved intricate sounds and creations that correlated with Willie Hundred’$ steelo and tone on the album.
