Long Live Nipsey Hussle Tha Great #TMC

Ermias Asghedom, best known as Nipsey Hussle departed this Earth unexpectedly March 31, 2019 after being shot multiple times by a coward and ill minded man named Eric Holder.

While many facts remain unknown (i.e. why didn’t the driver get charged as an accomplice) ; what we do know is that Chris Darden  will represent Holder in the upcoming trial. Why and how Darden is able to represent Holder remains unknown. However, not only is this shocking, but disrespectful considering what Nip Hussle has done for the city of Los Angeles. Some reports state that Darden is volunteering his services as a public defender, but others state that he is being paid by a third party.

Nipsey Hussle was prominent for hip-hop and the culture for many reasons.

1. Nipsey Hussle was a pioneer. Nip challenged the music industry by owning his masters and rights to his music. In 2013 Nip became the first artist to sell his mixtape Crenshaw for $100. The birth of the Proud to Pay campaign was instantly historic. Fans were able to download the mixtape for free, however, if they wanted to buy the hard copy they would receive a CD with exclusive Crenshaw gear. In 2017 Nipsey stayed independent to All $ In and leveraged a partnership with Atlantic to help distribute his Grammy nominated album Victory Lap. By standing independent he controlled many important factors leading up to his album release.
2. Nipsey Hussle was progressive. With emerging technology like blockchain coming into global adoption he understood the importance of teaching cryptocurrency to others. This was best displayed in 2017 when All $ In partnered with Follow Coin (a platform to teach you about cryptocurrency).
3. Nipsey Hussle was a visionary. When it came to STEM entrepreneurship Nip Hussle not only was an innovator, but he was invested in creating spaces for young entrepreneurs in Urban Communities to build as well. In 2017, Nip and David Gross opened up the first venue in heart of LA called Vector 90. Vector 90 has since hosted Shark Tank tryouts, entrepreneurship “lock outs”and a plethora of events.
