After creating a billboard hit with Drake, Lil Durk has had a year filled with many celebrations and achievements. The Chicago artist has shown true longevity in this rap game and as a result has created a strong brand and team through his label OTF.
One of the biggest up and coming artists from that camp (King Von) unfortunately passed away this fall after an altercation outside of a club. The entire hip hop world and Chicago took an L after losing Von at search an early time in his career and life. Lil Durk had been pretty silent (deleted his Instagram) about Von’s death and any new music until earlier this week in which he announced the release of his latest album The Voice. The album cover is an ode to the prince of ‘O’ Block King Von. The album even feature Durk and Von on a track entitled “Still Trappin”. Overall we think this is one of Durk’s best projects, we just wish Von was here to witness this success with him. Check out the album and let us know what you think!
