Stuart Scott: Private Battle With Cancer Goes Public

(NY Times)

If you’ve ever watched ESPN Sportscenter, you are already familiar with the cool, calm, and collected sports anchor, Stuart Scott. What you might not be familiar with, however, is that the popular anchor is battling cancer. According to NY Times, Scott has had 58 infusions thus far due to chemotherapy. Despite his cancer, however, Scott never asks what stage of cancer he is in.

“I never ask what stage I’m in, I haven’t wanted to know. It won’t change anything to me. All I know is that it would cause more worry and a higher degree of freakout. Stage 1, 2 or 8, it doesn’t matter. I’m trying to fight it the best I can.” – Stuart Scott

P.O.S wishes Mr. Scott on a fast recovery, his spirit and actions clearly show that this cancer is not going to hold him back. Fear is a mind killer, one’s attitude dictates how he/she thinks!
