With the design inspired by Japanese origami, “Bloom Blanket” creator Bianca Cheng Costanzo has been making a lot of headway on the crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter. Her profile has already gained 845 backers and $182,395 who pledged to help back Costanzo’s innovative creation.
According to Kickstarter, Bianca found her passion for creating origami at a young age. After attending MIT for 3 years, Costanzo dropped out to relive her childhood moments only this time applying it to a wool blanket.
Though Bianca Costanzo’s funding will be over March 30, 2014, she definitely has enough backers to take her “Bloom Blanket” to the next level. As reported on Kickstarter, Costanzo plans on sewing her blankets using quality cashmere wool and no synthetic materials. This will give the blanket a warm feel for consumers of this product.
Best of luck to Bianca and her cool product; despite her product not yet been released to the public , it has already gained a lot of traction.
