Amazon To Buy Whole Foods For $13.7 Billion

The grocery industry is a giant conglomerate that brings in over $600B per year in the U.S. In a progressive society of technology and awareness of what one eats, some retail groceries have been doing well and some have not. Likewise, with the acquisition of Whole Foods combined with Amazon utilization of drone deliveries and a vast online catalog presence, it looks like Amazon is looking to dominate all sectors of retail business (especially with Auto trading about to launch in Europe). This is reported to be Amazon’s largest acquisition. Whole Food will still be able to operate under it’s trademarked name, however, Amazon now owns 450 stores in 42 different states!
