If you watched the first presidential debate of 2024 between president Biden and former president Donald Trump then it’s safe to say that the debate seemed more like a fight at a retirement home. Between the ad-hominem attacks, lies, yapping, and all around pettiness I can’t say Biden nor Trump won in this debate. In fact, one could argue that America loss.
For whatever reason, our best two leading candidates are a felon (Trump) and an old man that barely formulate sentences (Biden).
What type of precedent are we setting as a society and country when younger people look at the current state of politics within this country?
All partisan biases aside, America deserves to have a leader who cares about the people and not about stat-padding or spending all of our tax dollars on other countries.
With just a few months away of the upcoming presidential election, I’m sure the foolishness will continue within the weeks to come.
