In a recent interview with American Enterprise Institute, Bill Gates recently discussed the rapid growth of automated technology; stating that our government needs to prepare for the future job loss of human jobs due to the rise of robots.
Excerpt from BGR:
“Software substitution, whether it’s for drivers or waiters or nurses… it’s progressing,” Gates said. “Technology over time will reduce demand for jobs, particularly at the lower end of skill set… 20 years from now, labor demand for lots of skill sets will be substantially lower. I don’t think people have that in their mental model.”
What do you think the government should do about this problem? We definitely believe Mr. Gate’s is pretty accurate about his foreshadowing of what’s to come for the future of technology. Science and technology are moving at an alarming rate, however , job growth in America is not.
